Tina is dedicated to preserving, protecting, restoring, and acquiring public land for all to enjoy. She is an environmental scientist with a specialty in wildlife and marine science. She is running for Ward 1 Board of Directors for Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District. She is a hiker of our open spaces and wants to make the preserves more accessible.

Tina volunteers regularly in the community. She currently volunteers at a regional youth group. In the past she has over a decade of experience as a docent at places such as the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the Marine Science Institute, Ano Nuevo State Park and Elephant Seal Rookery, The Marine Mammal Center, and CalAcademy of Science.
Tina formerly lived at what is now part of the Sierra Azul Open Space in the Los Gatos Santa Cruz mountains. She encouraged the sale of the property to public/nonprofit preservation for future generations.
A marine scientist for the Board
MPROSD stewards roughly 1,600 acres of San Francisco Bay frontage and Pacific Ocean access. Tina’s expertise in marine and coastal ecology brings a unique perspective to the board. More decisions should be made with science-backed evidence.
